James Nowlin - How a near death experience allowed James to re-programme his brain to a work ethic of happiness and abundance

HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT CREATING A PERSONAL MISSION STATEMENT? JUST A FEW WORDS THAT DEFINE HOW YOU WANT TO LIVE YOUR LIFE; A POSITIVE, PURPOSEFUL BELIEF WHICH, BY THE LAW OF ATTRACTION, IS THEN REFLECTED IN THE MECHANICS OF YOUR BUSINESS. TODAY WE SPEAK TO JAMES NOWLIN, PROPRIETOR OF U.S CONSULTANT COMPANY EXCEL GLOBAL PARTNERS (2007) ABOUT HOW LIVING AUTHENTICALLY AND DEVELOPING AN ABUNDANCE CONSCIOUSNESS CAN HELP YOUR BUSINESS PRACTICE ACHIEVE HIGH PERFORMANCE STATUS.

A near death experience turned James Nowlin’s life literally into chaos, a game-changing incident that urged him to ask, “Why am I here? Did I live enough, love enough, give enough?”. In this podcast we learn how the resulting epiphany became the inspiration for James to create his mission statement (listen up to hear it!) and re-programme his brain to practise a work ethic of happiness and abundance.

Happiness begins with gratitude and as an executive consultant, life coach and keynote speaker, James teaches how you can raise your happy quotient from a 5-8 out of ten to an 8-10 out of ten and change the 80-20 rule to your favour.

“When 80% of clients are benefitting you only 20%, turn it around to 20% of them benefitting you 80%: you have better clients, better customers, long-term contracts and trusted partnerships.”

Thought provoking insights for me included:

  • Will there be a societal flip back to old school manners?
  • Rising discontent to social media sensationalism and disrespect could mean a backlash is imminent
  • How a PHD type of person: Poor, Hungry and Driven is the most valuable employee
  • Why you should surround yourself with like-minded people
  • Understanding that forcing action is exhausting and unproductive
  • Moving forward using grace is the best and easiest approach

“The more we learn, the more we know we gotta learn more!”
